Drug Free Marion County is comprised of concerned citizens dedicated to preventing and reducing the negative consequences from the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in Marion County. We are business professionals, law enforcement officials, parents, health care providers, educators, neighborhood leaders and others, who, like you, care about the health and safety of our community.

DEA Sponsors Prescription Drug Take-Back Day       (09/08/2010)

On Saturday, Sept. 25, the Drug Enforcement Administration will hold its first national prescription-drug "Take-Back" initiative, with several drop-off locations available in and near Indianapolis.

Indiana Recovery Month Celebration Set for Sept. 25       (8/25/2010)

Drug Free Marion County and the Indiana Addictions Issues Coalition will mark Indiana Recovery Month 2010 with a variety of events in downtown Indianapolis on Sept. 25, including a 3K walk, a Recovery Ride for motorcyclists and a Rally for Recovery featuring keynote speaker Karen Freeman-Wilson.

 Announcement of the Availability of Funds

 
Drug Free Marion County announces the availability of approximately $450,000 in grant dollars through the Marion County Drug-Free Community Fund, for services and programs to address the problems related to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in Marion County. This fund is comprised of alcohol and other drug offender fees collected in Marion County. Grants will be for a one-year period only and will be effective from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011.
