Drug Free Marion County is comprised of concerned citizens dedicated to preventing and reducing the negative consequences from the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in Marion County. We are business professionals, law enforcement officials, parents, health care providers, educators, neighborhood leaders and others, who, like you, care about the health and safety of our community.

DFMC Board Meeting May 25, 2016       (05/19/2016)
The Board of Directors of Drug Free Marion County will meet on Wednesday, May 25, from 8:30-10 a.m. at the Indianapolis Public Schools’ John Morton Finney Building, 120 E. Walnut St., room 504. Prescription Drug Drop Off Boxes Now Available       (03/07/2015)
Don't forget that you can safely dispose of unwanted/unused prescription drugs at one of three area drop boxes, which are accessible 24/7. Eskenazi Health provides three locations that accept prescription drug disposals Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Click below for drop box locations. Also, three Marion County Public Health Department locations accept home-generated needles, syringes and lancets. Those locations are listed under For More Information as well.

For Parents

Free Strengthening Families Programs This Spring!

Two free Strengthening Families Programs are being held this month and are welcoming new enrollees.

Each seven-session program is designed to strengthen parenting skills and family communication, build family bonds, lower levels of youth aggression, increase youth academic success, increase resistance to youth peer pressure and help parents and youth learn together.

Weekly sessions are scheduled for the following locations. To enroll or get more information, call Cynthia at 317-332-7232 or Gloria at 317-289-7440.

Harding Street Church of Christ, 2034 N. Harding St., Mondays starting May 16.
IPS School #15, 2302 N. Michigan St., Wednesdays starting May 18.

Strengthening Families programming is being offered in partnership with an FSSA grant received by Drug Free Marion County and in partnership with The Indianapolis Foundation, a CICF affiliate.
